Public Auction sees property sold successfully and safely for €350,000

Coonan Property recorded a sale of land by Public Auction on Wednesday 26th August 2020 where a cottage on c. 9 acres of farmland made €350,000, in what transpired to be a highly successful auction.

The event, which was due to be held in the Glenroyal Hotel in Maynooth, was relocated to the property itself, due to Covid-19 restrictions. It was well attended (within guidelines) and the sun even showed its face at the proceedings.

There were 3 bidders in all and the opening bid was placed at €250,000. Bidding proceeded in increments of €10,000 to a figure of €350,000. After a short interval, the property was placed on the market whereby it sold at the price of €350,000. We would like to wish the purchasers the best of luck going forward.

Philip Byrne commented after the sale that “We were delighted everything worked out for the vendors of this sought after property. It shows the continuing trend in demand for well positioned land holdings in the greater Dublin area”.

Declan Brooks of Shanley Solicitors, Navan, acted for the vendor.
