Two Derelict Cottages in Lucan, Co. Dublin
No Blowing Hot and Cold in Lucan.
Coonan Property are delighted to announce the successful sale of property in Lucan. The two cottages on about 0.5 acres were very popular on the day. Ounavarra, Lucan, is nestled high above the beautiful and vibrant village and proved to be a winner at Public Auction. The entire was sold on Thursday 21st October at the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth in what proved to be a great day for both sides.
The triangular lot is mere minutes from Dublin City Centre and yet has a truly idyllic feel to it, with rolling countryside all around. There was no hesitation on auction day. Three active bidders resolved to purchase the property and bidding opened at €260,000. The property was placed on the market at €490,000 and the hammer went down after bids reached €505,000. It was a decisive sale that is very fitting for the opportunity in question.
Michael Traynor, of Gill Traynor Solicitors, acted for the Vendor in the sale.
Will Coonan of Coonan Property has commented “For one reason or other we have listed a number of houses in need of repair or derelict over the last few months and managed to sell most on the day of the auction or before!” he went on to say “Ounavarra attracted a lot of interest during the marketing campaign, so we expected a lively auction on the day. We would sincerely like to wish the purchasers every success and look forward to seeing what they do to the cottages in the months ahead”.
