42.2 acres in Tirmoghan, Donadea, Co. Kildare
Coonan Property Maynooth Naas and Celbridge were delighted to sell a residence and 42.2 acre farm in Tirmoghan near Kilcock in Co. Kildare at public auction.
The property was offered for sale by Public Auction on 31st May in The Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth. The farm was offered to a busy auction room in 3 lots. The first lot consisting of the derelict residence with yard sitting on 2.4 acres was opened at €160,000 and proceeded in increments of €10,000 to €300,00. Lot 2 opened at €350,000 was briskly progressed to €460,000. It was evident when Lot 3 was opened that the interest was in the separate lots. At this point, in agreement with the client, Lot 1 and Lot 2 put to the market.
Lot 1 sold for €300,000 and after one final battle between two bidders, Lot 2 sold at €465,000.
Lot 1 which consisted of the derelict residence and 2.4 acres or thereabouts provides huge future development potential just opposite Tirmoghan National School. Lot 2 consists of 39.8 acres or thereabouts is of mixed variety and has a private entrance provides the opportunity to create a prime farm holding.
Both lots benefit from their location in a peaceful rural area yet are still only 6km from access to M4 motorway. The local towns of Kilcock, Clane and Maynooth provide access to amenities and Donadea Forest Park is only a short walk away.
